An Experienced Employment Law Attorney

Represented People in Employment Law Matters for Over 30 Years

Michael J. Hoare

Michael J. Hoare passed away on March 25, 2017. Mr. Hoare was a fierce and thoughtful advocate for his clients. He represented thousands of people over a career of more than 30 years. Mr. Hoare helped his clients through the very trying experience of litigation and did not shy away from cases against large corporations or governments in his quest to achieve justice for his clients. He was included in many editions of The Best Lawyers in America. Michael is admired by friends and colleagues for his passionate commitment to his work and he will be missed in the legal community.

Please feel free to share memory or brief condolence with his family here. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s name to the ACLU or Planned Parenthood are greatly appreciated.

The firm is devoted exclusively to representing people in the private and federal sector who have serious civil rights and employment discrimination problems, particularly:

  • Sexual Harassment
  • Discrimination because of:
    • Race
    • Sex
    • Age
    • National origin
    • Religion
    • Disability
    • Sexual Orientation
  • Retaliation
  • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

The firm's principal, Michael Hoare, is an experienced trial attorney who has been included in multiple editions of The Best Lawyers in America. He has successfully represented thousands of people with individual and class action claims in courts across the United States. To obtain monetary relief and justice for his clients, Mr. Hoare has successfully sued the United States government, the country's largest Fortune 500 corporations, public and private educational institutions, as well as federal agencies, municipalities, counties, and states.

The employment relationship is of critical importance. One's job determines his/her ability to earn a living and provide for his/her family, and is hopefully a source of pride and satisfaction. Unfortunately, this relationship with alarming frequency is disturbed by unlawful discrimination, as well as sexual harassment and other unlawful practices.

The firm's philosophy is to maximize our client's recovery through careful case evaluation and thoughtful preparation. Simply stated, we recognize that our client's chances for a successful resolution of her claim are enhanced considerably when her adversary realizes that unless the client's claim is settled to her satisfaction, it will be decided in a court room before a jury where she will be represented by a competent lawyer who is both willing and able to try her case.

Mr. Hoare and his staff understand also that persons with serious civil rights and employment problems many times have experienced painful personal injuries and, consequently, competent legal assistance must be accompanied by compassion and understanding.

If you believe you have experienced unlawful discrimination treatment, Michael J. Hoare, P.C. will work to ensure that your rights are protected.
